Applications

The applications for this feature are numerous and largely depend on your creativity! However, here are a few examples of how the Social Sidekick can be utilized:

  • You want to share an engaging article but need help getting started. Paste the URL to the article, click “Generate Post,” and post text based on the URL is generated.

  • You want to create a post about a specific topic, such as Veterans Day, but need ideas for what to write. Type a few keywords into the Compose editor, like “veterans day, thank you for your service,” and click “Generate Post”. Text is then generated based on these keywords.

  • Your admin has scheduled a post, but you desire to alter the tone or wording. Go to the post that has been scheduled for you and click “Customize Post’' to enter the Compose screen. Once the post has loaded click “Generate Post”. A modified version of the text is then generated. Additionally, you could add your own instructions to modify for example the tone of the post. To do this add a sentence like “Make the post sound really exciting!” at the end of the text and click “Generate Post”. A further modified version of the original post is then generated.

  • You have created a post that exceeds Twitter’s 280-character limit, but want to make it work for Twitter. Instead of manually shortening the text, click the dropdown button next to “Generate Post” and choose “Generate for Twitter.” A new post text, adhering to Twitter’s requirements, is then generated.
