1. Determine if your page is using the New or Classic Facebook Experience

  2. Find the Business Account (new experience) or Page Owner (classic experience)

  3. Request Partner Access from Denim Social

Step 1 - Is your Facebook Business Page on the New or Classic Experience?

Click the Pages icon at the top of your home screen or on the left hand panel

If your business page in the list looks like this, then you have the new experience. Click here to follow the instructions

If your business page in the list looks like this, then you have the classic experience. Click here to follow the instructions

Step 2: New Experience - Business Account

  • Go to your business page (click 'Switch Now' to be taken to the page)

  • Click 'Manage' (gray button on right hand upper part of profile)

  • Click Page Access (under Professional dashboard on left, under Your Tools)

  • Here you can see if there is a Business Account that owns your page (called either 'Owning Business Account' or 'Meta Business Account')

    • If there isn’t a business account that has access, your page needs to be added to a business account. Talk with your admin for next steps.

    • If there is a business account - ensure it is your marketing team's business account, or that you can access the business account from business.facebook.com

Step 2: Classic Experience - Page Owner

  • Click into your business page

  • Click settings

  • Click Page Roles

  • Under Page Owner, you'll see the business account that owns your page

  • If there isn’t a business account that has access, your page needs to be added to a business account. Talk with your admin for next steps.

  • If there is a business account - ensure it is your marketing team's business account, or that you can access the business account from business.facebook.com

Step 3 - Grant Denim Social Access

Now you will grant partner access to the Denim Business Account, which will allow them to create ads on behalf of your page

  • Go to business.facebook.com

  • Make sure the dropdown shows the business account that owns your page

  • Click 'More Business Settings'

  • Click under the Users dropdown, then Partners

  • You’ll see one of two screens:

    • If your screen looks like this: Click Add, then 'Give a partner access to your assets'

    • If your screen looks like this: Click Add under 'Partner to share assets with'

  • Copy and paste Denim’s Business ID: 1704512749835563

  • Click Next. Then you’ll see 'Assign Assets to Denim'

    • First, on the left side, select which experience you are in. You will know when you see your page show up under assets

    • Facebook makes you select the page that you want to grant access. Only select your business page

    • Then, you’ll be able to choose the access level that you grant to Denim. Choose Ads & Insights

  • Save changes

Now you should see Denim show up under partners in your business account, with a list of assets (in this case, a Facebook business page) you granted Denim access to.

Denim will also show up as an agency partner

  • if using classic experience, in your Page Roles section under your business Page Settings

  • if using new experience, in your Page Access section
