Steps necessary to prepare to launch your first campaign

Before you get started preparing your campaign, make sure you finalize users you’d like to advertise on behalf of and send the spreadsheet to your CSM

  • Pages must be loaded into your business account or you must know who the page owner is. Heads up: pages loaded into your business account is different than you being an admin on the page

Preparation needed before creating and launching a campaign:

CAMPAIGN STRATEGY PLANNING

  1. Decide your campaign goal

    1. awareness, traffic, reach, engagement, conversion

    2. Where will your ad lead when someone clicks on it?

    3. Does the messaging support your goal?

  2. Develop ad strategy to support your campaign goal for the ad AND the landing page - and ensure you have a plan for your legal team to approve before your launch date

    1. Compelling offer

    2. Impactful creative assets

    3. Concise copy - - that helps support your campaign goal

    4. Decide where you are going to direct the audience

      1. the landing page should support your campaign goals and keep the customer from reaching a dead end.

      2. Have a plan to follow up with leads - create a template that you can copy and paste into an email in your lead follow up.

    5. Determine your budget

      1. Ensure your budget is realistic - while you can choose to spend a few bucks a day, your ad will likely get beat out by other advertisers for the top times/placement

DENIM SOCIAL GROUNDWORK

  1. Build user groups you’d like to advertise on behalf of

    1. Ensure users are active in Denim Social

  2. Create audience in Denim Social

    1. Create a target audience or use your existing audiences - who are you trying to reach? Is your your audience in a special ad category? If so, you can only target by interests or behaviors, not age or gender.

  3. Upload approved assets to Denim Social

  4. Finalize your landing page

    1. Check out this guide if you are using a Denim Social landing page

    2. If you aren't using a Denim Social landing page, the ad destination URL will default to the ad destination URL link loaded in the User Profile
